First impressions were very positive indeed. When it arrived, it was beautifully packed inside a very upmarket box. This was surely the answer to my prayers. When I saw that the ROKU Streambar had the ability to boost dialogue, in addition to all the other bells and whistles it offered, I was totally hooked. Like many TV's of that age and size, the sound was OK, but it really lacked any real depth, and bass in particular was woefully absent.

It was an expensive TV in the first place, and only about six years old. The reason I bought it in the first place was because I was fed up trying to make out dialogue in many TV programmes that and the fact that our 42" TV gave out a sound which could best be described as 'adequate'.
